AIdrobe ("AIdrobe", "we", "us") makes the AIdrobe app for iPhone and iPad (the "App"). This policy explains what information the App uses, why, who processes it for us and the choices you have.
Summary
- Your wardrobe, outfits, poses and generated looks are stored on your device.
- Photos you choose to analyse or try on are sent to our servers and AI providers only to create the result you asked for. We do not keep them in our database.
- We do not sell your data, show ads or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
Information you give us
Photos. When you add a clothing item or run a virtual try-on, the photos involved are sent from your device to our backend and on to fal.ai, which runs the image models. Background removal for new clothing photos happens on your device. We do not store your original photos in our database. A generated try-on image is hosted by fal.ai so the App can download it, and we keep a link to it in a temporary record that expires automatically.
Style profile. The gender, age, height, weight and style preferences you enter are stored on your device and sent with suggestion and try-on requests so the results suit you. We do not store them on our servers.
Calendar. If you allow calendar access and use Smart Planner, the titles and times of today's events are sent with your daily outfit request. You can turn calendar access off at any time in the Settings app.
Text you write. Occasion descriptions you type for outfit suggestions are sent to our AI provider to create the suggestion.
Feedback. Messages you send with the feedback form are stored together with your app user ID so we can read and answer them.
Information collected automatically
App user ID. A random identifier created by our subscription provider links your requests, usage limits and subscription. It does not contain your name or email address.
Usage data. Feature use, errors, crash reports and optional survey answers, linked to your app user ID, are sent to PostHog in the European Union to improve the App. We do not record your screen.
Subscription status. Apple processes all payments, and we never see your payment details. RevenueCat tells us which plan is active, whether a trial is running and when it renews. We store your plan and remaining usage in Google Cloud Firestore.
Notifications. With your permission, Firebase Cloud Messaging uses a push token to send try-on completion notifications. Smart Planner reminders are scheduled on your device.
Location. If you allow location access, your location is used on your device to get local weather from Apple WeatherKit. We do not receive or store your location.
Camera and photo library. The App uses the camera and your photo library only when you take or choose a photo, or save a look.
How we use information
- To create the analyses, suggestions, try-ons and daily plans you request.
- To manage usage limits, subscriptions and trials, and to restore purchases.
- To send the notifications you turned on.
- To understand how the App is used, fix bugs and improve features.
- To answer feedback and support requests.
- To prevent abuse and enforce our Terms of Use.
Service providers
We use the following providers to run the App. Each processes data under its own terms and only as needed to provide its service.
- Google Firebase (Cloud Functions, Cloud Firestore, Remote Config, Cloud Messaging): our backend and account information storage.
- fal.ai: runs the image models for clothing analysis and virtual try-on, and routes text requests to Google Gemini models.
- RevenueCat: subscription management.
- PostHog: Feature use, errors, crash reports and optional survey answers, linked to your app user ID, are sent to PostHog in the European Union to improve the App. We do not record your screen.
- Apple: App Store payments, WeatherKit and delivery of notifications.
How long we keep information
Data on your device stays there until you delete it or the App. Deleting the App permanently removes your wardrobe unless it is restored from a device backup.
Account information on our servers (app user ID, plan, remaining usage and feedback) is kept for as long as it is needed to provide the App and is then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete it at any time.
Links to try-on results expire automatically after a short period.
Your choices and rights
You can change camera, photo, calendar, location and notification permissions at any time in the Settings app. You can cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings.
Depending on where you live, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Türkiye or California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data and to object to or restrict some processing. To make a request, contact us as described below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your country. Our Terms of Use do not allow uploading photos of children.
Security
Data sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
